Internet-Assisted Teaching&Research
On the afternoon of 13th December, the Internet-Assisted Teaching and Research Activities were held as scheduled concerning the Chinese teaching of Primary Schools in Yingjiang District organized by the Chinese Teaching& Research Group of Anqing Foreign Language School’s Primary Department. More noticeably, teacher Fang Di, a part-time instructor and researcher in Jiangjing District and Director Fang Fang in charge of Internet-assisted teaching& research provided on-site guidance.
To begin with, the theme of this event was ‘Probing into Ancient Poetry Teaching in the context of Official Textbooks’, which took advantage of the QQ group platform by the name of ‘Chinese Teaching of Primary Schools in Yingjiang District’.
Furthermore, Deputy Director Xu Degao with the Primary Division expressed thanks to the Teaching& Research Office of Yingjiang District. Afterwards, in combination with their won teaching practice and front-line teaching experience, five keynote speakers Yang Jun, Xu Yanxia, Wang Juan, Cheng Qian and Chen Fangling elaborated on how to effectively carry out the ancient poetry teaching and better enable students to fall in love and inherit the splendid traditional Chinese culture with pleasure in the following aspects: the chanting style of ancient poems, the coaching skills of ancient poetry chanting, the full use of textbook illustrations as well as the assistance of historical background.
In addition, the five teachers’ speeches undoubtedly started a discussion which attracted more than 100 Chinese teachers form Primary Schools in Yingjiang District and centered on the subject of ‘Ancient Poetry Teaching’. Teachers enthusiastically participated in the event and followed the five lecturers’ speech contents by positively making online comments in addition to expressing their opinions and perceptions.
In a word, this informative event not only facilitated teachers’ professional growth, but also let them realize the significance of information technology application, which explained the fact that Internet-assisted teaching and research would avail teachers’ development more timely and conveniently.
